Grades 9–12

An inspiring week of culture and opportunity

What an inspiring week it has been for our Grade 9–12 students! We were honored to welcome a guest speaker from the High Commission of Canada, who shared valuable insights about studying in Canada and the opportunities that await our graduates.

Adding to the richness of the week, the Kalindeh Kollective from Trinidad and Tobago brought culture to life through an interactive workshop. Students experienced the vibrant tradition of Kalinda—an Afro-Trinidadian art form that blends rhythm, movement, and storytelling—while learning about its deep roots in heritage, identity, and community. It was a powerful reminder of how culture connects us and expands our perspectives.

Special guest

Julien Alfred visits ISSL

To round off the week, we had the privilege of hosting world-class sprinter Julien Alfred, who spent time in classrooms today. Students were able to connect with her personally—asking thoughtful questions about her journey as an athlete and learning more about her life beyond the track.

It was a truly memorable experience that left our school community inspired and energized.
